Getting traffic to your website is not hard at all! – You just need to know the secrets that all Internet Marketers know.  I will share them with you…but, don’t tell anyone!

One of the best ways that you can drive traffic to your website is to share information with others.  Host your own discussion or forum.  Spark some interesting discussions and encourage visitors to join in. People enjoy giving their opinion and insight about various topics and will return to your site regularly to do so.  Another way to share information is to provide an on line newsletter or e-zine.  You have expertise that you can share with others.  Offering this product for free is a great way to attract visitors to your site and keep them coming back.  The visitor would simply need to provide their contact details in order to receive this offering.   It is important to keep your newsletters and e-zines updated and published regularly so readers can keep up with new information from you and new offers from you.

swarmAnother effective way of getting people to your website is to enlist the help of your loyal readership.   Request that they include a link to your website on their site.    In return, allow these helpful readers to give away some of your products for free to their readership.  Every product will have your information in the resource box which will increase your exposure and draw new readers back to your site. Once they click through to your website, they will find more valuable information.  Including exclusive opportunities is also a way to keep visitors coming back to your site.  For example, offering a five-part series on a certain topic that will be offered every Tuesday will be a hit with your readers.  This is a great way to develop a faithful following.

Give your readers an incentive to share your information with others!  Offer a referral incentive program.  Devise a contest or bonus item to those who refer your site to a friend.

Create a guest book.  Encourage visitors to add their name to your guest book. You could even invite comments or suggestions from your guests.  This is a great way to keep up with what your visitors are interested in and keep them interested in the content on your site.

Don’t forget about using affiliates to promote your own products.  Get your products out on a lot of other websites by proposing an affiliate program.  The more exposure you get on various websites and blogs, the more traffic will be coming your way.

Have you discovered a product or service that you really like?  Offer your feedback by writing a review of the product. You could also offer a testimonial. Both of these provide you a great opportunity to get your URL out there because all of your contact information will be in your resource box at the end of your feedback submission.  Consequently, as your testimonial is placed on other sites both your backlink and your URL will get more exposure.

Hopefully these suggestions will help you see a significant increase in traffic to your website or blog.  The bottom line is to get your contact information in front of as many people as possible.  You can see that these are simple ways to do this.  Do the work and you will reap the profits!

trafficWeb traffic is the most important aspect of being a web marketer.  Whatever kind of business you are in, your goal should be to improve that ever important traffic. Traffic is the source of your income, so it stands to reason that you should spend a considerable amount of time on building and maintaining a steady flow of traffic. But how? How do you keep driving traffic in an upward direction month after month?

Try These Six Steps To Get More Blog Traffic

1. You need to start a blog.

If you want more traffic, you need a place for it to go. Blogs are a powerful form of marketing your product, . Google, MSN, and Yahoo all love blogs. Articles and blog posts generally rank higher than static websites because the search engines like freshly updated content. Blogs are a phenomenal way to manage your content, make money, and get great search engine rankings to bring more and more traffic to your blog.  I use Wordpress Direct for all my blog marketing.

2. Get started with Twitter.

Twitter can be a great tool for gaining new readers, in the form of “followers”.  For each follower you have, you may have just gained yourself one new client.  Although conversion rates for twitter marketing are pretty low, it doesn’t take a lot of time, and it might just make you some money.  Don’t over look this strategy.  Twitter is an easy way to get massive traffic to your site - if done correctly.  To learn more on how to monetize social media click here.

3.  Article submission

Article submission can be a great way to find traffic.  Article submission sites like eZine and Go Articles are great places to start.  Just write an article, post it to the site, and wait for traffic to come in.  The traffic is usually minimal (unless it goes viral :) ), but the search engine results will be vastly improved… which means even more traffic.  This is how I automate my article marketing – click here.

4. Consider joint ventures.

Why not let others help to build traffic to your site?  You can get others to market anything from ebooks to software online.  A small cut of the profits sends you a ton of traffic.  This is how most of the gurus get their traffic.  Joint venturing is probably the quickest way to get tons of traffic to your site – hands down.

5. Keep working on the SEO.

SEO is an ongoing process that needs to be one of your main focuses when building traffic to your website.  Search engine optimization is a free, easy, and life long (mostly) way of building traffic.

6. Get More Backlinks.

Link Building has gotta be the dryest, most tedious and BORING chore we have as online marketers, but the problem is, it’s arguably the most important if you want to rank your site and get traffic! There are entire websites, blogs, and tutorials dedicated to the art of link building.  I will not attempt to go into great detail here.  Instead, I  will give you my resource that automates this whole process ( for only $1!!!).  If I didn’t use this software, I would be working a 9 -5 right now.  That’s how important it is.  Check it out here.

globeHere are 10 easy ways to get more web traffic to your blog.

1.  Comment on blogs with similar topics.  Leave links to your blog posts when commenting.  This automatically generates a “trackback” from most blogs, meaning you link to them, they link to you automatically.  Some bloggers have stopped using this due to spammy practices.

2.  Submit to directories and ezine publishers.  Put your information and links to your site in the resource box.

3.  Give Blog Carnivals a try.  A blog carnival allows you to gain backlinks, new readers, and a temporary traffic spike.

4.  Add a signature to all outgoing email.  It’s easy to set up, and it might just get you a few extra clicks that you wouldn’t have had before.

5.  Participate actively in forums and newsgroups.  Leave a comment with a link to your site in the signature section.  Most forums and newsgroups allow this.  Do NOT Spam!

6.  Use social sites such as Digg, Slumbleupon and del.icio.us.  These sites allow users to submit content, rate on others content, and in turn, find some cool stuff in the process.

7.  Link baiting is a great way to get traffic.  Find something that attracts the attention of others, whether it’s a great tip, or just a fantastic headline.  Linkbaiting can bring huge swarms of traffic.

8.  Run a competition on your blog and give away a prize.  Giveaways are a great source of traffic, and it really makes your blog stand out.

9.  Build relationships with other bloggers and keep the doors open for communication.  Some bloggers are more prone to link out to their friends, and this will keep traffic flowing.

10. Optimize your blog for waves of traffic.  There should be no less than 3-4 links to other blog posts within your site.  Internal linking is a great way to get traffic to stay on your site, which can actually be harder than getting it there in the first place.
